So what a great year this has been! Can I get a hell yeah?!?! I am shocked
that we have a month left before summer break, and before I am officially not a G1
anymore. This year has definitely been crazy and fun! I still remember orientation,
where I was excited and nervous, while seeing all these new excited and nervous
students. It was just yesterday when we had our first Stats class and were getting
in the groove at CSPP. It has definitely been a great year. I have had countless
great conversations with students and faculty, and felt part of a community that
was passionate about psychology. Everyone in my cohort is so freaking smart too!
I freaking love my cohort; a mix of awesomeness and great people. I feel extremely
blessed to be at CSPP, and be alongside people who will be great leaders in the field.
I didn't know what to expect when entering CSPP. My good friend Dr. Clifton Der Bing, a graduate of CSPP, encouraged (well kinda shoved) me to apply. I knew I loved psychology but was not sure what path I should take. Clifton told me the great things at CSPP and that I would fit in very nicely. He was totally right because I amloving the staff, teachers, and fellow students at CSPP. The demanding workload was new to me, and way more difficult than undergraduate expectations. . During my first semester I got sick every couple weeks because I wasn't use to the intensity of the program. I now feel I am in a better place, and am so excited for what the future holds. Although many outsiders may not know of CSPP, I feel it is a great school, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I look forward to next year with RPD and ethics. I hope to further meet other students outside my cohort, and learn more great things about the field of psychology.
OMG I can't believe summer is right around the corner! Stats will be done, assessment completed by July, and an awesome 20-hour practicum. G2 could not get here any sooner! I must cherish these moments at CSPP because graduation will sneak up on me and life will be different.
To the entering class of 2011 and to all my CSPP family I hope everyone has a successful semesters and a great summer break! Fall semester will start in a flash! Let's enjoy what we have!!!!!
