Favorite food/restaurant: I was a picky eater as a kid, but now I enjoy a lot of different foods: Sushi (I love Miyabi on Church St), Ethiopian (great place called New Eritrea on Irving St), Mediterranean (Taboun on Parnassus - even my friends from Israel say it's good). But I'm also really lucky that my husband's a great cook!

Favorite hobby: I am classically trained in ballet, and was performing with a local company until I got pregnant with my daughter in 2007. I still take a few classes a week.

How Alliant could improve: I wish we had the space and resources to have an on-site childcare center for staff, faculty and students.

Best part of Alliant: The sense of community on the San Francisco campus is really unique and special. I love that you hear people that might not, in other circumstances, even know each other, discussing music, food, travel, family and all sorts of other things.
